Activities For Each Week
- Vocabulary-Though a vocabulary list is provided, teachers need to review each chapter and choose the best words for their students. Look up each word in the dictionary. Use the word in a sentence. Search for the word in the newspaper. How is it used?
- Find headlines in the newspaper to describe the kind of day Little Horse is having-or the kind you are having.
- Chapter Review-Who are the major characters? Underline phrases in the story that are most important in telling what happens and what the major characters do. What do you think might happen next?
- The Little Horse Project at the end of the guide can be used throughout the reading of any horse story or substituted for the chapter listings at discretion of the teacher.
Little Horse Newspaper Project
